Focusing on the whole person
Are you feeling sad, worried, stuck, or unlike yourself lately? Have you lost a loved one... are you grieving the end of a significant relationship... or feel your dreams are out of reach? If so, I want to praise you for taking this first step in seeking support. I know the healing process can be complex, but you do not have to do it alone.
So, if you have made it this far, welcome! I'm Dr. Alfaro Beltran. I am a bicultural and bilingual Licensed Clinical Psychologist. I have over ten years of experience, including working with college students and training and supervising master's and doctoral level students as the Associate Director of a University in Southern California.
My work consists of using a person-centered approach while incorporating other modalities such as Narrative Therapy, CBT, and EFT. This means I aim to provide you with support, acceptance, and empathy while assisting you to work on areas that are not allowing you to become the person you would like to be. For some, that means being fulfilled, in loving relationships, living a positive life, etc.
I welcome the opportunity to walk alongside you to help you gain insight and awareness into your current circumstances, to process experiences, or to help you reclaim skills that you already posses or learn new ones so that you can experience the reward of emotional wellness and positive growth.
Healing can be challenging, but it is definitely worth the journey! I would be honored to join you in your healing journey and together we can develop a treatment plan centered on meeting your specific needs while focusing on the heart, mind, body, and spiritual/religious connection to heal the whole person.
